FFMD & MDA
The Fishing For MD program, or FFMD, is a 501(c)(3) organization that was founded by Paul Robertson, a native of Maryland and successful entrepreneur and businessman, who has also been diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy (MD). Paul was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD) 15 years ago, but that has not stopped him. After dealing with mobility challenges, Paul decided it was time to not only become a champion and spokesperson for muscular dystrophy, but also use his talent and passion for fishing and align it with his dedication to increasing research funding, awareness, and support for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA).

OUR MISSION
“To utilize fundraising activities, offshore fishing sponsorships and tournament winnings to directly collaborate with the Muscular Dystrophy Association to find a cure for neuromuscular disease while also providing funds to raise awareness and support for those currently affected by Muscular Dystrophy.”
BIG DOG TACKLE
Big Dog Tackle is a local FISHING STORE that WELCOMES everyone into the store including Men,. Women, Kids, Fishermen & Women, Boaters and anyone that loves the water. Big Dog Tackle was inspired by the owner’s love for animals specifically her Boxer ROXY!! ROXY is the store mascot and, like the owner, Roxy also loves the water and fishing. Nicole Zapetis is the owner and prides herself on her passion for fishing and ability to service the customers’ needs. She has many years in both the Retail and Fishing world. Big Dog’s goal is to have a local store where everyone can go to and feel comfortable from the Novice fisherman buying their first setup to the Fun Fishing Family and all the way to the Experienced Charter Captain!!
